ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Cowboys have a strong interest in Arkansas RB Darren McFadden.
Dallas has the No. 22 and No. 28 picks in the first round, so moving up in the draft won't be a problem. Moving up high enough to have a shot at McFadden will be difficult. The Cowboys would likely have to move ahead of the Falcons, who draft third. Miami is known to be interested in trading down.

Every effort will be made to make this happen. Most "experts" will say that the Cowboys don't have enough to move into the top 3. On paper, they may be right. However, there is a running-tab barter system in place between Jerry Jones and Wayne Huizenga with the Jason Garrett, Bill Parcells, Jeff Ireland, and Tony Sparano moves.
Nothing is concrete, but I would say it is more likely to happen than not.

I would hate it if D-Mac ended up in Dallas, but it would be pretty dang awesome if he was drafted #1 overall!

League sources tell the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that the Cowboys are unlikely to trade up in the draft to get Arkansas RB Darren McFadden.
Owner Jerry Jones reportedly doesn't want to get in the top ten because of the massive contract he'd have to shell out. Dallas is in a great spot with two later first-round choices. Both picks' deals will be very manageable.

From RotoWorld -
Two NFL head coaches tell Yahoo's Jason Cole that they can foresee Arkansas RB Darren McFadden falling down the draft board in April.
"There’s going to be some stuff that comes out on that kid," one coach said. "I'm telling you. Just watch." "He’s the best skill-position player in the draft, by far. But he has issues," said another. "He’s going to get a lot of questions." We still have a hard time believing McFadden will drop out of the top ten.

Owner Jerry Jones said Saturday that the Cowboys are not interested in trading up for the No. 1 pick in the draft.
There was speculation that Jones would package his two first-round picks (Nos. 22 and 28) to move up for Darren McFadden. Several question marks surrounding McFadden could lead him to fall on draft day anyways. The Dolphins are still believed to be actively shopping the top selection.

The Falcons are "thinking big" and "love" Arkansas RB Darren McFadden as the possible No. 3 overall pick, according to the Denver Post.
We'll see how much they love him after he runs his forty Sunday. McFadden was waffling on whether to run last week, an indication he may disappoint. Of course, it also wouldn't be a surprise to see him touch the low 4.4s.

Chiefs GM Carl Peterson says that after Darren McFadden ran the forty in an official 4.33 seconds, he'd "have to consider" taking him No. 5 overall.
"He’s a game-changing talent," said King Carl. "He helped himself a lot. If he’s at No. 5 overall, I’m going to have to consider him long and hard. And I (already) have a great running back." Rams coach Scott Linehan, whose team picks No. 2 overall, noted McFadden's impressive stride: "He ran easy, like he could have run 10 more sprints just like that."

The Falcons have contacted free agent Michael Turner.
The Falcons signing Turner would likely take them out of the running for Darren McFadden at No. 3. He'd be an excellent fit in new OC Mike Mularkey's power run game. It doesn't sound like will Atlanta have much competition.

I'd guess that he will go later than the 6th pick...I think the Cowboys will trade up, Jerry Jones is willing to gamble, he has the money. There's a lot of good running backs available. I think they should wait.
