when Siebert's good, he's great, when he's bad, he's giving up BB's and bombs

I think he can be a great pitcher. He just hasn't had a breakout season yet.

Yeah, 7 or 8 walks in two games so far. I think the Cape will be a great experience for him though and expect him to have a big, big year next year.

Yeah. Schmidt, Hamblin and Arnold were all going, but didn't for various reasons.

that is great news. He needs to continue improving and hopefully next year he will take it to another level, and be reliable from the start all the way trhough the season.

So Schmidt is just trying out for Team USA this year? He did pitch a lot last year, so it's probably for the best. I guess Tschepikow is still battling injuries because if he was healthy, he needs to play.

I am impressed with what Seibert has done thus far with the talent that plays in the Cape each year, but remember this is a wood bat league. Some of those outs will be hits when they switch back to alumni. I think Andrew Miller said it best at the CWS when he said he was looking forward to moving up and facing wooden bats again.
