Brewster wins 4-2 in 13 innings. Shaun had another great outing going six innings without giving up a run. He left after a long delay in the game when the umpires called a balk on Y-D's pitcher then reversed the call. Eventually, the commissioner of the league was on the field. The announcers calling the game (in their "Bahsten" accents), were highly critical of the umps saying they were ruining a great pitcher's dual between Seibert and Y-D's pitcher.

I have to say I kept expecting Seibert to have a bad outing BUT he has been awesome. I think this year are pitching staff is going to be better then last year.

well, with any hog player, I always expect their best, and thus I'm doubly proud of Seibert for his performance this summer.

Well, last year's pitching staff was Schmidt, followed by smoke and mirrors. If Schmidt and Siebert can give us good outings on Friday and Saturday, and we can improve the bullpen, we can have a very good year.

nope; what I said was that I always expect the best. I didn't expect him to give up any runs this summer. I never expect less than pefection.
I am at times disappointed, but I would never look at one of my players and expect less.

Hah, having 2 starters of this quality is a luxury for most teams. I'd love for Shaun to carry it on this next year, and it seems like he's getting mentally ready for some serious pitching. I don't care if Kyle is throwing the third day on the weekend, with those two on the mound Fri. and Sat. (or however it breaks down), we should have a great chance to win every series.

Seibert's line from yesterday - six innings, 4 hits, no runs, 5 strike outs, and zero walks. He was named the Cape's co-pitcher of the year prior to the game. Brewster Outlasts Y-D in 13-Inning ThrillerBTW - Justin Smoak of South Carolina was named League MVP and Joshua Fields of Georgia was the Relief Pitcher of the Year. Fields of Y-D blew a save in this game.

Well, it's over. Y-D eliminated Brewster from the playoffs last night.
