Kendall from Rosenblatt is going to the Cape to watch some games and I hope he gets to see Seibert pitch. If he can pitch like this in the upcoming season we would be dominate on Friday and Saturday

Once again, remember this is a wood bat league...don't jump to conclusions. But you have to like what he is doing against good competition.

Once again, remember this is a wood bat league...don't jump to conclusions. Geez, can't we just be happy for the guy? Only two guys in the league have yet to give up a run, that has to say something right? Nobody is stupid enough to think he's going to come back here and not give up a run all season. It still points to better things to come though!

Yeah we can certainly compare him to the other pitchers in the same league.

All I am saying is remember this is a summer league. If you want confirmation of my point, check what McClelland ERA was last year in the TCL.

Big difference in the talent level of the TCIL and Cape Cod

Once again, remember this is a wood bat league...don't jump to conclusions. But you have to like what he is doing against good competition. I think this statment shows I am aware of the talent difference, but I am just saying remember the wooden bats make these leagues a pitcher's league and it doesn't hurt that they are pitching to position players who have played about 70+ games since February. That being said, you still have to like what he is doing, just hope he can get back here with that confidence and work with the coaches on control.

I would say the pitchers arms are just as tired as the position players are

Some of these pitchers won't have pitched for 3-4 weeks before the league starts. I think that is time to get fresh and recover. And it is not like they pitch/play everyday since there is not many two-way players (though there are more players that play two-ways in these leagues).

If nothing else, his success in the league will get his confidence up. Which is what he is lacking to be a great SEC pitcher.

Seibert shines, Brewster prevails www.capecodonline.com/cctimes/sports/seibertshines13.htmThrough 29 innings in the Cape Cod Baseball League, Shaun Seibert continues to improve his case for being deserving of Pitcher of the Year honors. After walking Matt LaPorta (Florida) on four pitches to leadoff the fourth inning, Wareham starter Travis Banwart (Wichita State) left the game clutching his right pitching elbow.

LaPorta is still there? I thought he was a Junior or Senior, did he not get drafted?

I think he got drafted late b/c he didn't have a very good season in '06.
