It was posted on another board that Larry is very ill. I know that he had some health problems not long ago. I hope that this information is incorrect. Does anyone know anything? razorbacktalk.com/board/index.php/topic,4065.0.html

Wow, horrible if true. Hopefully somebody in the loop here can confirm or deny this. Don't know anything about the poster that posted that.

Very sad news. I hope and pray that it's not true. Hog games will never be anywhere near the same without Larry. I dread that day.

Mr. Shank is a friend of my parents, and I haven't asked them how he's doing in a while. I know he's been in poor health for a while now. I'll have to see what I can find out.

please, do. And hopefully this is an ugly internet rumor that we can put to rest.
But, until then, he is definitely in our thoughts.

Hate for my very first post to be on such a (potentially) tragic thread, but do you guys remember last season when Larry would sometimes wear a beret-like hat when he'd sing the national anthem? I called SportsRap one night because I had heard Larry was sick. Chuck wouldn't talk about it on the air, but the guy screening the phone calls said that he was battling skin cancer. I'm guessing it was on his head? Don't know if that is related to this latest rumor but just thought I'd pass it along.

he was battling skin cancer, and he was wearing the hats because of the Chemo treatments. I think. Welcome aboard on my watch! Hopefully, we will find out what's going on for sure soon.

After reading another board, and getting a message that pretty much supports what I read, things are not looking for good for Mr. Shank. Be sure to put him in your prayers tonight and tomorrow and the next day.....
