Been out running around the Hill today. Don't believe that we should rule out BG just yet. Also don't be looking for U of A planes to be bringing in the potential coaches, believe private planes are in use. Might have just slipped a candidate's wife in to town yesterday looking at homes right under everyone's nose!
Believe Frank's making a trip this weekend for a little basketball. I sure hope he brings a coach back home with him that we'll be proud of! If it's not BG, then I don't believe it's going to be Self, no reason for him to commit coaching suicide if he comes here and doesn't win it all.
This thing is being kept very close to the vest, "sources" are few and far between right now. Only thing being said, is don't count out Frank pulling a rabbit out of the hat and don't rule out BG just yet.

Saw on the news that Bruce Webber from Illinois has reportedly shown some interest. Thoughts?

That just makes me sick. He would be the last person on my list. Very last.

On paper, it seems like a good idea. He's been very successful in a weak conference and should translate to creating/maintaining a national power in a better situation.
But the point I must emphasize is: I HATE John Calipari. He had to quit playing us to play a more "National schedule" when we were kicking his but every year. HIs coaching staff shoved our players around ion an out of bounds play in one of our last meetings. Although he's never been sanctioned that I remember, he seems like a guy willing to cut a few ethical corners.
I would rather have John Brady than Calipari.

If it does happen, I'll grit my teeth and root for the Hogs, this could really dampen my love of Hog basketball, but maybe it won't be as bad as losing

Yeah I wonder how our fan base would take it if we hired Calipari.
I bet Frank feels really pressured to hire a big name and that's why he's going after Calipari.

I do hope that's true. I've said that I don't really care who we get, but I assumed Calipari wouldn't be in the discussion when I said it. I don't trust that guy and I don't think we should take a chance with bringing him in here.

ESPN just reported that Memphis denies that Calipari is a candidate. Calipari said he was never offered, that we just talked to him about other candidates.
