Beautiful day at the park today. Plenty of sun and some good baseball too. Bulldog effort by Wells. Probably shouldn't have been out for the 9th though. Mahler and Korbal were both warm. Cisterna is SMOKING! Glad he's putting it together. Coon took some warm up swings late and was ready to bat, we just didn't use him. Lyons made some GREAT plays at short! Very good D from him today. Eibner may need a day off. He looked real bad today. Sickness may have him week. Best part of the day - On the last play, the pitcher for Tennessee was walking off the field before Tschep scored the run. The throw went behind him as he was almost to the line when Tschep got to the plate.

quote from DVH about Justin "Bulldog" Wells
“We were going to take him out after seven innings,” Van Horn said. “But we scored three runs and he told me that he could go back out there. He started cramping on the mound, but was a warrior and toughed it out. He gave us everything he had today.”

I was not a fan of the strikezone today. He was granting both the high strike, low strike, and the outside corner -- which i think forced both teams hands to chase some pitches. Both teams were constantly chirping at the home plate umpire (Butler in particular). Both teams struck out significantly above their average, and I don't think that was just Wells and Morgado/Wiltz's doings -- though congrats are in order for superb pitching. Overall, I was glad to see a series win.

I was amazed at how justin handled the pressure with runners in scoring position. 9 strikeouts, 135 pitches through 9 innings.
Cisterna, wow, another great game tomorrow, and he'll be SEC player of the week!
Murphree, geez, one hit and he thinks anything he swings at, he'll hit. I don't like it. If Coon can play tomorrow, have Coon-Eibner-Darr from left to right in the outfield.
I'm happy how Lyons is making those plays over at short, i've been kind of jumpy when something goes his way after what happend vs. Auburn.
Great crowd, Beautiful weather, stupid umps!
Go Hogs! Go sweep! Beat Tennessee and TBA! We'll show that TBA!

win tomorrow and we'll be a 3 seed in the projections...I do hate though it seems like all of our runs are HR's. I would love tomorrow to get a bunch of line drives all over the park
