We went and saw Funny People. Pretty good.
I had seen an hours worth of stand up on comedy central associated with the movie, and a special on HBO about the movie with a lot more of the stand up but surprisingly little of that was in the movie.
Movie needed more RAAAAAAAAAAANDY.

I saw "Funny People" earlier in the week. It's a good movie, I didn't expect the ending to end like it did

Saw The Time Travelers Wife with Sarah tonight. It's a pretty good movie. Not what I expected, I think I might have to read the book.
I give the movie a B, B-.

Saw G.I. Joe last week. They do a good job of using quick flashbacks to give character back stories rather than wasting time early. They made some interesting choices on the relationships between characters that doesn't really fit with what I remember from the cartoon anyway. But really, you probably aren't watching GI Joe for character development or even plot development. Plenty of stuff exploding. scenes between StormShadow and Snake Eyes were great. Plus, they throw in the occassional line for the children of the 80s. Now you know...

Saw "G-Force" over the weekend... Not meant to be a brainiac show of course, but it was a lot of fun!

Went to see "The Final Destination 3D" on Sunday. It's not as good as the other Final Destination movies, but it being in 3D made it watchable.

Saw Post Grad a little over a week ago. They ripped my man-card along with the ticket stub. There were exactly two other people in the theater besides Diamondbabe and me. The plot centers around Alexis Bledel graduating college only to find out getting a job is hard. She's forced to move back in with her strange family including Michael Keaton as her father and Carol Burnette as her grandmother. A few funny moments, but really not much to it. DiamondBabe liked it because character played by Bledel was similar to that of Gilmore girls only the movie offered more closure than the series which was cut short.

saw my bloody valentine (complete with 3-D glasses) this weekend. Good thing there were some neat 3-D effects and a completely naked woman or it would've been the worst movie of all time

Hands-down the worst ever... Saw " Shorts" over the weekend. Cute kid movie, but as always there are jokes in there the kids won't get (like a kid named Helvetica Black)... Worth it for the laughs...

Went to see "The Final Destination 3D" on Sunday. It's not as good as the other Final Destination movies, but it being in 3D made it watchable. Saw this over the weekend and second the above opinion... Good special effects was about the only redeeming value... Well OK, good gore, but that counts as part of the special effects... POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT......One of the things I liked about the original in particular were the "false starts" with the deaths... You never knew when / where one of those little mishaps would actually lead to a death. In this one, almost every time something got set in motion, the person died, or it was immediately after, like the lawnmower... A couple of the deaths were "yeah right" ways of dying, like the pool... Car wash was comical... Almost how the Friday The 13th franchise got crazy comical after a while... They even had a blatant rip-off of a death from one of the other movies, but this time it was an ambulance, not a bus... Sheez... I give it 2 out of 5 stars... Only that much because of the special effects... Even the 3D wasn't that well done...
