Anybody know anything about this? Who are we playing? How many games are we playing? When are the games? Can we listen to the games? TV?

okay apparently the team will leave late Friday (the 31st) or Saturday (Sept 1) and come back on Labor Day (Sept 3). Not sure how many games they will play, probably against Mexican club league teams.

Two games per my source...Saturday at 8:30pm vs. a team from Belize and Sunday at 6:30 vs. some team my source couldn't pronounce. They didn't even know where the games were being played!

Basketball Hogs Hold On For Win In CancunTrue freshman Michael Sanchez's basket broke a tie with 26 seconds left and Michael Washington then hauled in a defensive rebound near the buzzer as the University of Arkansas held off the Quintana Roo Pioneers 60-57 in exhibition basketball Saturday night in Cancun.
Charles Thomas led the Razorbacks with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Darian Townes and freshman Levan Patsatsia added 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Arkansas played without injured players Sonny Weems and Stefan Welsh and also without Patrick Beverley and Marcus Britt, who did not dress for violation of team rules.

I was there for both games. Without Patrick, Welsh, and Weems in game one, we are obviously not as good of a team. The Mexican pro team wasn't bad, but we looked like a team trying learn where to go. They are still learning Pelphrey's system. The coaches were critical, but instructive and very positive with the players. The biggest difference was the enthusiasm and passion the coaches showed, and the players responding to it. The Belize team - well, they'd struggle to win in the 7A west. New guys - Patsa looked lost at times, but showed some better than expected ball handling skills. Rakestraw played well, knocked down open shots, and was a better defender than I expected. Sanchez can play - physical inside, aggressive play with the ball. Marcus Britt can handle the ball, hit open jump shots - great guy to have in the Beverly, Welch, Ervin rotation at the point.
