Am I the only one who finds it more than a little difficult to believe we'll be good this year?
It just seems like we're going to fall flat on our faces, as if the fact that every knows who we are means we can't be that good.

I don't see how we're going to be as good as last year, but then again I think we were actually more talented last year than our record indicated. Who knows? On the surface our schedule looks soft given the non-cons, but we're going to have to win some tough games on the road to come in second in the West. And that's not exactly the goal to strive for, anyway.

Hard to believe we'll be THAT bad. I don't buy that people are going to be able to stop the running game just because they know it's coming, especially if we are running the wildcat and doing creative things with McFadden, Jones and Hillis.

I guess the reason Florida, LSU and Wisconsin stopped McFadden was because he was gimped up by that horse collar from the South Carolina player, but still, I don't think Saban's above doing something thuggish to take McFadden out so he can win his home opener, and the rules let'm drag'm down like that so there's nothing to stop them from intentionally doing it. idk, I'm just always paranoid before football season.

McFadden rushed for 182 yards against LSU. He rushed for just 73 yards against Florida because he was hurt. If McFadden had been healthy in the bowl game we would have won.

If McFadden had been healthy in the bowl game we would have won. And if Hillis had been healthy we might have won all three. I think we'll be fine this year. One of the reasons is obviously the weak, weak, weak non-con schedule. With a minimal passing game we'll be good, with a good passing game this team could make some noise.

Just like last year, it depends on injuries. Any key guys go down and we're likely in deep trouble.
