.. football team. Congrats, Chuck. Chuck Barrett: football announcerAs usual with anything related to Hogs football, it had to involve controversy.. an NWA vs. LR element to the story.

I like Inman but I think Chuck will do a good job. He's obviously awesome on the baseball broadcasts.

I agree with Charlie. I don't think there was a "bad" choice to be made. But I saw more positives with Inman.
I wonder how/if this will affect Chuck's show.

I'm pretty sure Chuck will be giving up "SportsRap" I'm pretty sure I'm happy this turned out this way. I'm pretty sure we could have predicted the reaction of some: www.ThePigIdea.com

I hope he doesn't give up SportsRap, he's too good to only get to hear once a week during the fall.
I'm very happy with how this turned out as this means Inman can take over as the voice of the basketball hogs soon enough.
Wally's gonna bitch and moan, which is always a bonus, nothing like kicking the midget when he's down.

I haven't listened yet Nox, but do you think that the play-by-play pay is enough to quit SportsRap? I have no idea how much you'd get paid for that, but it seems like he'd still need to supplement that to some extent.

Broyles has previously stated he did not want the "voice" to host a call-in show. He may end up with more responsibilities for the coaches show than just hosting... could be interesting!

Yeah, he's just urging all the Nutt haters to rise up against Barrett. That's all it is.
I hate that little man!

I love the idea "the state can't be divided, so give me what I want."

You could be right, but I believe Frank is on his way out, "officially". So the new sherrif in town might have different ideas? Although, I think it's a pretty good policy myself. Not good to have your play by play guy stirring up stuff with a call-in show. Did get a grin when reading Wally's assessment of Matt! Talking about taking a shot at a guy thru the press and not giving a guy a chance for equal time. Wally = Slime Reporter!

Obviously some people have never listened to him call a baseball game. This must be incredible for Chuck. It's sad that some people can't separate his opinions from his obvious talents in the booth. He's hands down the best radio guy in college baseball. I'm looking forward to hearing him call football.
