Just announced by 103.7:
"I love what he has to offer... I'm excited, and I can't wait to play for him."

Just announced by 103.7: "I love what he has to offer... I'm excited, and I can't wait to play for him." Sure is a different song than the one he was singing about 5:40 this afternoon. Said he'd talk to his mom and make a decision later. Granted Coach Altman was going to visit with the players this evening, which he might have already done....but I wouldn't put any confidence in the 103.7 report at this point. Sure seemed like he was going to visit with the new Coach, his mom and make the decision over a period of time. Now all that being said....I'd be really excited if he's gone full tilt in about 45 minutes...that'll mean our new Coach has got "it". Whatever "it" is..."it" is what we need to get this thing turned up a notch. I'm excited about the hire...believe it will renew the excitement in the program...we'll press for 40 minutes a game.....we have an identity!

He definitely wasn't walking around and talking like he was sure he was staying at the press conference.

No, it wasn't a 103.7 report. When I started typing, Rainwater or someone had just said that he was staying, but before I could hit post, they started playing Beverly on tape saying what I put in quotes (and much more).
Somehow he talked to Altman in the few minutes between interviews by both guys, and then he got back to the media. Sorry I didn't word it properly.

Yeah, you're right and it's true. Him and his mom talked to Coach Altman right after the presser and they decided that it'd be the best thing for him to stay. Thanks for posting that!

“We had a long talk with him, and I really like what he has to offer,” Beverley said. “I really think he is a good, genuine type of guy, and I am excited to play for him in this type of offense that he provides.” “The million dollar question that everybody wants to know is Patrick Beverley coming back?” Beverley said. “The answer to that is, ‘Yes.’ “My mother and I talked about it last night. When I signed to play at Arkansas, I didn’t sign to play for a particular coach. I signed to play here at Arkansas. That was the biggest thing for me.” UA Players Like Altman’ Style

Great news. Sounds like Coach Altman is a great recruiter. That was a 10 minute turn around from the end of the press conference.
