Wally called 1037 in Central Arkansas this morning and said Altman looked to be the guy and that he thought he'd be announced sometime today. Looks like PH2 is Wally Hall.

Altman isn't going to instill any excitement in the fan base but Jays fans are really upset to see him go, so maybe that's a good sign.

I'm ok with this.
I am afraid he won't be able to keep Beverly though.

Here's what's even more interesting. An Omaha TV station is reporting that we've also hired their Athletic Director to be our Director of Basketball Operations.
I wonder if he's going to be our next AD.

Watched some of the press conference today and he certainly said all the right things. I deffinitely feel better about the hire after hearing him talk.

Yea! We're gonna press again! I think I missed that the most during the Stan years.

another beautiful hog call! To me, he looked more confused as to how to do it correctly than simply freaked out by it. Stan, on the other hand, looked freaked out. His wife looked like she was about to get shot. Didn't see Altman's wife on 40/29...

His wife looked like she was about to get shot. Didn't see Altman's wife on 40/29... well to me it looked like Frank just learned how to do it before the press conference started. We have got to get Dana's fingers moving on the "wooooo" and work on the fist pump on "sooie."

His wife looked like she was about to get shot. Didn't see Altman's wife on 40/29... Well you that know me well know that I was running the Hill this afternoon, looking for all of the scoop for the Board, also it helps me with my column. No, Coach Altman had not been versed in the Hog call before hand. He caught on to the Woo Pig part, but needs some help on the Razorback fist pump. His wife and daughter did not participate in the Hog call, but I suspect they were just being lady-like. Mrs. Altman did show the "hog nose" to Audra and smile, so I see to future Hogs in the Altman family. I had a chance to meet Coach Altman and his lovely wife Reva and daughter Audra. Very nice family. I for one, believe we'll be very happy with this hire. We now have an "Identity", we are a "Pressing Team." We've not had an identity recently, so we are already a step ahead. Also I go on record now as saying "he's a nice guy." But his teams will play hard and I believe we'll see an exciting style of play once again in Bud Walton. The "style of play" may just keep Beverly in Fayetteville.

Altman Can Be Funny In Right SettingWhen the Altmans were in Atlanta last week, Reva Altman said: “Dana said, ‘You’re not gonna believe who called me.’ I got excited, just seeing the look on his face. He was talking about coach (Frank) Broyles.
