Also list off any qualities you'd like to see in a new coach.
I'll start it off by saying I want to see a tough, fast, defensive minded team that'll get out in transition more (this team is great when they get in transition but they don't do it enough). I wanna see 3's, I wanna see Sparky shooting, Sonny dunking, Thomas taking charges and getting fouled and MW doing whatever the heck he wants (oh and Hill blocking shots)
Canidate wise, we've all heard Gilespy (sp?) and recently I heard Doc Sadler (Nebraska's coach, didn't do well in the game I saw).
You could also go with any number of the hot clubs out there, Long Beach St.'s coach, VCU's coach, Winthrops coach, SIU's coach.
continue listing and discuss

I wouldn't mind having Doc, if he had a couple more years at a big time level under his belt. He did some great things at UAFS and probably will at Nebraska.
Who I would really like is the Air Force coach. They have a very good offense, play very good defense and win. And if you can do that, with a bunch of white boys, at Air Force? You're ready for a shot.

Air Force fell down fast at the ned of last season. Yeah, they struggled at the end of the season, but they're still alive in the NIT. Spanked Georgia real bad last night.

I know it would be all too similar to bring in Stan, but I really think the VCU style of basketball would be familiar and a crowd-pleaser.
I don't know if that's the style Grant would play with a different team, but it was impressive in their two tournament games. And he has 10 years as an assistant in the SEC. Yes, I know it was just his first year at VCU and "those weren't his players." That's why I prefaced all of this.
But I agree with HomerHog and Charlie in the other thread, those in charge are just hoping that he leaves on his own at this point. Otherwise, there will be no replacement for Stan.
