How many Hog baseball games have you seen? Obviously not everyone knows exactly how many, but take a guess.

Somewhere around 300-350. Since my freshman year at the UofA (95 baseball season), I've missed about 1 or 2 home game per year. 12 home post-season games. Several trips to Tulsa and Springfield.

100's is a good answer OHBG.....I probably only got to a dozen or so games each year when I first moved here in 1985, but I have rarely missed a game since 88 or so. I do NOT long for the old field, banging homers off of HPER or bleacher butt.

Let's see 9 years as a student at roughly 25 home games per year. Allow post season and ORU/SMS games to fill in misses fo basketball. Throw in maybe a dozen before I was a student. I'll say about 250. Or more simply it should be about 75% (9/12) of HomerHogs.

Yeah, I was figuring 25 per year for 12 years, but we have had seasons with more than 30 home games. We will return to those good times the next two years.

remember in the old park when they would hit a foul ball into the street or into the parking lot? and some player would have to run out and chase it down?
you learned early parking close was not a good idea.

My favorite thing about George Cole was opposing outfielders not knowing how to play the leftfield corner. We tried to tell them, but they never listened. To a man, they all ran to the corner to try to chase a ground ball or liner down the line. Every stinking one of them had the ball shoot between their legs or over their heads. Kenderick Moore and Kit Pellow knew how to play it. They sat back almost to the alley and let it come to them. If they were too close, they yelled over to Chris Clark in center to get ready.
Oh, that and "Rice Patty".

He turned around to give me a detailed awsner and I said "haven't you ever heard of a rhetorical question genius ?" He didn't much like me....I think his last name was WIlma if I remember right.
