they're talking about him on Sportscenter and how it's hard not to pull for Big John after all he's been through. He said he got prepared for the tourney by playing the slots at the casino. Classic Daly!

He's still under par and only 5 off the lead bro. Not just anyone can keep up with Tiger shooting a 63. Daly did not play as well today but it was respectible. Ken Duke also made the cut.

Actually, he is not under par, he is at even par. However, what you said still holds true. Only 14 players out of the 152 that teed off are at par or better. I was really more impressed with his 73 yesterday than the 67 the day before. On Thursday, he was hitting fairways off the tee and had a lot of opportunities to score. On Friday, he bogeyed the first two holes and didn't hit his first fairway until his 11th hole (2nd on the course). He could have easily put up a big number, but kept plugging away and was a few missed putts away from being in the top 5 headed to the weekend.
He hit some bad tee shots early, got talked into not using driver on a couple of holes that he did the day before and his confidence was shot. If he can regain the confidence in the driver he had on Thursday, he'll put on a great show the next two days and beat everyone not named Tiger.

Can you imagine what the crowds will be like around Big John this weekend? Especially if he can stay near the top of the leaderboard!
