This seems like an odd decision for someone drafted in the 8th round. I can understand if a player doesn't get drafted and decides it's going to be too tought o catch on anywhere, but to obviously have a team that wants you and just say "no thanks" is peculiar. I too wanted to see how he'd fair in the minors.

His girlfriend is the reason why he is not playing ball anymore. She is also the reason why he skipped his private workout at FHS before the draft, which Rowlett attended. A VERY poor choice if you ask me. You can only play ball once and for a limited amount of years, girls come and go.  |
