There is a slim chance Carnes could get called up by Tampa Bay. They have pretty much exhausted every other pitching option they have at Triple-A. His numbers aren't terrible considering Durham is very much a hitters park.

I would love to see Matt get atleast one shot in the bigs!

Well, in the last few weeks Tampa Bay has called up Lee Gardner, Tim Corcoran and now Joe Beimel from Durham.. all three journeymen relievers, none of them likely to stick.
One more injury or terrible pitching from any of the recent callups and Carnes should be the next in line for a look.
