This weeks Co-Players of the Week are Andy Wilson and Charlie Isaacson. Andy was 12-27 (.444) with nine runs scored (61), three doubles (12) and five RBI (29). Charlie (3-2, 2.95) pitched a complete game shutout in his only start of the week. He gave up six hits, walked two and struck out nine in nine innings.
Highlights:
Cody Clark hit his first homerun of the season and had two RBI (12).
Michael Conner had two doubles (7), one homerun (5), three RBI (20) and three stolen bases (12).
Matt Erickson had two doubles (22) and five RBI (26).
Ryan Fox had one homerun (8) and two RBI (22) in four games.
Eric Hinske had one double (18), one triple (2), two homeruns (10) and five RBI (48) for the week.
Brian Kirby had one double (10), one homerun (14) and three RBI (50).
Rodney Nye was 8-26 (.308) with two doubles (20), one homerun (4) and six RBI (38).
Haas Pratt had one double (4).
Andrew Wishy had two stolen bases (12), three doubles (19), one homerun (12) and five RBI (58).
Clint Brannon (1-0, 1.04) won one of his two games this week. He gave up one run in seven innings and had six strikeouts.
Matt Carnes (3-2, 2.79) won one of the two games he pitched in this week.
Gary Hogan (0-0, 1.13) had one save (2) in two games. He pitched four scoreless innings.
Jay Sawatski (0-0, 0.00) had one save (2) in three games. He pitched 4.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and striking out six.
Lowlights:
Michael Conner made two errors (2), both in a game he started at catcher.
Brian Kirby made one error (6).
Rodney Nye made one error (17), grounded into two double plays (8) and was caught stealing once (2).
Brady Toops grounded into two double plays (2) and made one error (2).
Lance Franks gave up 11 runs in 9.1 innings over two starts.
Cliff Lee (10-3, 4.65) lost his only start of the week. He gave up six runs in two/thirds of an inning.
Kevin Sheredy (0-2, 6.75) lost his only game of the week, which was also his first start of the season.
Streaks:
Michael Conner lost a five game hit streak on July 29.
Rodney Nye lost a seven game hit streak on August 1.
Cody Clark lost a six game hit streak on August 1.
Andy Wilson lost a seven game hit streak on August 1. He was 18-33 (.545) during that time.
Eric Hinske has a five game hit streak going.
Notes:
Lance Franks got his 500th career strikeout on July 27.
Matt Erickson got his 300th career minor league RBI on July 30.
Clint Brannon got his first pro win on August 1.
