2-16 in 5 games. Not a great start for Brady!

His hitting will improve. Has he thrown out any baserunners?

We just got back from New Jersey so thought I would update what has been going on with Brady. He did start out 1 for 15 and took a while to get used to the wooden bat. After that he hit in 9 straight games and 11 of 12. Then he got an ear infection and didn't get any medicine for it until we got out there, and while he was playing sick he went into a 2 for 19 slump. So, as hitting tends to be, he has been a little up and down. He has thrown out and picked off several runners (I don't have the actual numbers and I can't find where that is kept anywhere). He really misses the teamwork that he enjoyed as a Razorback as he has had many runners picked off where the first baseman or third baseman weren't ready for the tag as Clay and Haas always were and several steal situations at 2nd also where either Scott H. or Scott B. would have gotten the tag down, but these guys weren't anticipating the steal enough to get in position. It's just the difference between guys who practice and live together as a team all year and guys who are just thrown together to play games and not really practice at all. In any case, he's doing fine and he knows he has alot to learn. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a lengthy journey, but if it's not it has still been a great ride.

Thanks for the update. Glad to see he was back out there last night after not playing in a couple of days.
