Welcome back for the 20th season of the POG! The rules will stay the same as last year.
Here's a look at the game:
Rules:Anyone can play. Don't worry if you don't get into the game at the start of the season or don't get picks in from time to time. It's never too late to start or to catch up!
Picks:Pick one player (and one player only), by name, for each and every game. Try to get all picks for a weekend in before the Friday game starts so you don't forget. You can't just say 'the starting pitcher' or anything like that. I won't count it.
You can change your picks up until first pitch, just edit your original post, but make sure it
is before the game's first pitch. If it looks like it might have been after first pitch I won't count it.
Also, do
NOT edit your picks during a game, even if it's not the pick for that game. If I see that you edited your picks while a game was going on the pick for that game will not count.
Winner:The player of the game is chosen by Dale, with assistance from Charlie when it's close. I try to choose the player who had the best game all around, not just one or two good plays. I will pick Co-POG's if it's too close to call, but I try to limit that. Also, my picks have nothing to do with who is picked on the radio/tv.

Points:Each Hog player will be worth 1 potential point per game.
If that player is picked as the POG, that point will be awarded to the person who picked him or cut in half if more than one person picked him.
For example, if Martin is named the POG, and two people picked Martin, they will each receive 0.5 points. If ten people picked Martin, each of them will receive 0.5 points.
In other words, if you choose the correct POG, your highest possible point total is 1.0 (if you were the only one to pick that player) and your lowest possible is 0.5 (if someone else also picked that player).
Points will be doubled for all post-season games.
Bonus Questions:I will occasionally ask a bonus question, for example:
How many homeruns will the Hogs hit this weekend? These will be worth either one half or one point to anyone with the correct answer or closest to the correct answer if it’s a big number.
There will also be bonus point opportunities prior to the season.
