Brian Anderson went 3-for-4 with three homers and seven RBI as part of a 14-3 victory in the second game of Friday’s doubleheader against the Nationals.
Anderson socked a solo homer in the second inning and a three-run shot in the fifth before taking Brock Holt deep for another three-run shot in the sixth. He tied a franchise record with the three-homer game and is now up to nine homers on the year. Thanks to a strong September, his .273/.366/.491 batting line is much closer to what we had in mind coming into the year.
