Royals placed INF Matt Reynolds on the 10-day injured list.
No explanation was given for the move, which unfortunately forces people to read through the lines. Reynolds, 28, was a non-roster player with the Royals this spring after batting 295/.401/.521 with 16 home runs over 111 games with the Nationals' Triple-A affiliate last year. He projects to serve in a utility role when healthy.

Royals purchased the contract of INF Matt Reynolds from their alternate site.
Reynolds will replace the injured Jorge Soler (oblique) on their active roster. The 29-year-old holds a .223/.295/.340 batting line over 240 plate appearances in the majors and figures to serve in a utility role with Kansas City.
