In other news Kacey Murphy, a lefthander the Tigers drafted in the 11th round in 2018, announced his retirement from baseball on Tuesday. Murphy was regarded as a bit of a steal when the Tigers took him with their first pick on Day 3 of the 2018 draft, but he struggled in his first crack at pro ball, with a 6.43 ERA in eight starts this season.
