Orioles RHP prospect Blaine Knight fired six scoreless innings on Thursday for Low-A Delmarva.

Knight struck out seven hitters, and he allowed just three hits without walking anyone. The 87th pick of last year's draft, Knight has been outstanding for the Shorebirds in 2019; as seen in his 0.67 ERA and 33/4 K/BB ratio. The former Arkansas Razorback will show a plus fastball/slider combination, and he mixes in a solid change and so-so curve at times to keep hitters honest. His control is also solid, and the command isn't far behind. Knight projects as a mid-rotation starter, and he has a chance to be a fixture in the Baltimore rotation before the end of 2021.

Knight promotion: Blaine Knight, who had a 3-0 record with an 0.68 ERA in five starts for Low-A Delmarva, was promoted to High-A Frederick on Friday.

In those five starts for the Shorebirds, Knight struck out 33 and walked four in 26 2/3 innings.
