Bobby Portis was tremendous in a loss to the Suns on Saturday, scoring 25 points with 15 rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 35 minutes.
He was great on both ends, especially becoming a complete weapon on offense. Portis has been able to hold his own against bigger guys on the low block on defense and his only glaring hole so far has been a lack of production on the offensive glass. The rookie from Arkansas has the potential to do it all on the stat sheet, but he's buried on the depth chart.

Botty Portis made his Bulls' debut on Tuesday, playing 10 minutes and hitting 5-of-7 shots for 10 points and two rebounds.
We're a little surprised he didn't play more since the Bulls got their doors blown off and if he couldn't get run tonight, things aren't looking too promising for the next several weeks, either.

Bobby Portis met his hype during his first real chance at minutes on Saturday during a 107-91 loss to the Knicks, scoring 20 points with 11 rebounds, one assist, two steals and two 3-pointers in 23 minutes. Yes, Free Bobby Portis for now and for always. The rookie brought a ton of energy on both ends and he probably would've had a couple more dimes if his teammates didn't make mistakes. The Bulls did play Nikola Mirotic at the three a little in this game, so that might be the plan in case Doug McDermott (knee) needs to miss time. He still might not even be in the rotation going forward because Pau Gasol will be back, but the upside makes him such an intriguing stash in deep leagues. They'd better start playing him!

He keeps shining when his number is called. They can't keep him buried on the bench long

The Bulls have suspended Bobby Portis for eight games.
This means that Portis won't be making his regular-season debut until November 1

Bobby Portis went berserk off the bench against the 76ers on Thursday, scoring a career-high 38 points with eight rebounds, two assists and six 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
Those 3-pointers were a career-high and he only turned the ball over one time while taking a whopping 26 shots from the field. Portis is likely going to stay on the bench for the foreseeable future, but that's OK as this gem ranks second for points off the bench in a single game behind 6MOY favorite Lou Williams (40, twice). Portis needs to be owned in all leagues.

Bobby Portis went off for a team-high 30 points on 12-of-18 shooting in his Wizards' debut on Friday, adding four triples, six boards, two assists, one steal and two turnovers in 27 minutes with the second unit.
Portis was en fuego to start the game, going 6-of-6 from the field, 2-of-2 from beyond the arc, and 2-of-2 from the line in his first 5.5 minutes of floor time, and he never really slowed down after that. He can be hit-or-miss, and he rarely brings defensive statistics to the box score, but he’s going to see a ton of opportunity in Washington and looks primed for a strong finish to the 2018-19 season.

Free agent Bobby Portis has agreed to a two-year, $31 million deal with the Knicks.
The Wizards extended an offer sheet to Portis earlier this week, but they will now rescind that offer to make Portis a New York Knick. That means the Knicks just signed three power forwards today with Portis, Taj Gibson and Julius Randle, so it was an interesting day for the Knicks. Portis should get a decent amount of shots in the second unit, but he's only worth a late-round fantasy pick at best.
