Free agent QB Tarvaris Jackson is open to signing with the Vikings.
Jackson wants to back up Teddy Bridgewater after spending the last two seasons behind Russell Wilson. With Matt Cassel getting traded to Buffalo and Christian Ponder a free agent, the Vikings are in the market for a No. 2 quarterback. Jackson, 32 next month, spent the first five years of his career in Minnesota.

CSNPhilly's Geoff Mosher reports the Eagles have discussed bringing in free agent QB Tarvaris Jackson.
A gifted athlete, Jackson would seem to be a better fit for Chip Kelly's offense than last season's backup Mark Sanchez. The Eagles are also reportedly interested in bringing back Sanchez, however, and Jackson has expressed interest in returning to Minnesota. The Eagles quarterback situation is as muddled as they come entering free agency.

Free agent QB Tarvaris Jackson will visit the Dolphins on Thursday.
It's a sign the Dolphins could be ready to move on from Matt Moore, who is seeking a $4 million annual salary. Jackson only threw one pass in Seattle last season while backing up Russell Wilson. Jackson drew interest from the Vikings and Eagles earlier this offseason, but those teams seem to be off the table.

Tarvaris Jackson was carted off the field with an ankle injury in Friday night's preseason opener. Jackson got his leg rolled up at the end of a play. He did give a -up sign to the home crowd while on the cart, but could put very little weight on his ankle following the injury. T-Jack is Russell Wilson's top backup.

Free agent QB Tarvaris Jackson requested a public defender in his domestic assault case because he said he has no money.
A public defender is normally free of charge, but can cost up to $100. Jackson has earned over $12 million in his 10-year playing career. He says all of it is gone except for his car that's valued around $100K. NFL players blowing their money and being forced to hang around for a paycheck is far too common.
