aol.sportingnews.com/ncaa-football/story/2012-06-07/jackie-sherrill-texas-am-lsu-thanksgiving-game-talk-arkansas-lsuSoutheastern Conference newcomer Texas A&M and stalwart LSU could become a featured Thanksgiving Day game, supplanting LSU’s annual game around the date against Arkansas, former coach Jackie Sherrill said. Sherrill, who coached at Texas A&M from 1982-1988 and at Mississippi State from 1991-2003 was a guest on Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly on Wednesday. While Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long denies any discussions have taken place, Sherrill said that there have been talks about changing LSU’s opponent in the future.
“It’s already been discussed. It’s been talked about,” Sherrill said on the show. “Commissioner (Mike) Slive, they all have talked about it, and LSU and A&M are gong to play on prime time on Thanksgiving night, because that game will draw more people than Arkansas-LSU, or Arkansas-A&M.”
On the SEC 2012 schedule, Arkansas and LSU are scheduled to play the day after Thanksgiving. The SEC has not finalized its schedule beyond this season.
LSU is the Aggies’ closest SEC opponent, just over 300 miles away. The two have played numerous times in the past as well.

From what I've heard, the SEC or Arkansas haven't heard any discussions of AR/LSU being moved.
I personally hope it doesn't move. I look forward to Thanksgiving week every year for two reasons..spending time with family, and Arkansas-LSU.

I guess I don't really have strong feelings about this.
Yeah, it's nice having it on the same weekend and getting that extra air time, but I'm not tied to it.
If it's going to be in Fayetteville then the students would probably prefer it be another weekend.
