To credit the team or fans for last night's win could be viewed as a bit revisionist. Fortson showed up in the second half and outplayed a lifeless MSU squad by himself.
Agree on the points that this is not the time to discuss a coaching change and the players are suffering from the fans' apathy.
Solution, play hard. Fans will watch and support a team that goes all out game to game. Outside the OU and Texas games last year, it is hard to find many examples where the the Hogs out-hustled their opponent in the last 8 seasons. Even what we thought were Nolan's bad teams played hard. Relentless effort and in-your-face defense were the trademarks of a proud program. Don't see much of either anymore.
Our basketball program has fallen to irrelevance. It will take a major change in the culture inside the program to change that. I am not inside everyday to know if that means a new head coach, new assistants, or if incoming recruits can allow the current staff to do that. I do think that anyone including the AD who tries to tell fans that everything is OK is really insulting their intelligence.
p.s. Also, agree with the title.

Homer,
You are 'dead on' with every point.
Thanks!
