He must be the least effective disciplinarian of all time...it never works. How many times have Fortson and Welsh been suspended? Handing out minor suspensions all the time does not make you a disciplinarian. Getting a handle on your discipline problems does. Which Pelphrey clearly does not. How do you know Fortson is only going to be suspended 1 game? If that were the case why would Pelphrey say it was indefinite? If what I hear about his suspension is correct, I don't expect him back anytime soon. We just suspended ONE THIRD of our roster. Let that sink in. I mean, wow. I can barely comprehend it. It's really sad. |

I only say the Fortson suspension will be short b/c that's the way Pel's been in the past.
I compare Pel to the previous regime where the players could get away with murder and all they'd get is a semi-firm talking to.
Either the basketball program is on the right track and this is just an incredibly bumpy part, or its so far gone that there's really no point trying to get anyone new.
I say we give him at least as long as we gave Heath, getting the pitchforks and torches out now isn't going to accomplish a dam thing.

He can't control them. He takes the fall. It's really sad to me what's happened to our basketball program. I really thought Pel was going to be the guy, but with the APR hit this team is going to take I expect it to be 5+ years before the program can even start to dig out. |

I know of Townes leaving during the middle of the game and not being punished. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I ever heard about that they did. Do you think the current team is being punished for everything they get caught doing? Or do you think they are also getting away with some other stuff we don't know about? |

This is sad and pitiful. We were probably going to be an average team before these events. Support him or despise him, this is probably the final nail in the coffin for Pel. Hope I have to eat my words.
