-Although it was chilly, the rain stayed away and it was a pretty nice Fall evening for a football game. -The crowd was excellent. Packed house and loud. -As for the game, it's pretty simple. Yes Mallett is very very good. But you cannot win with NO running game and NO defense. If you have no defense you have got to control time of possession. And that means being able to run the ball. Which we cannot do. Our punting and kickoffs suck too. All we do well is pass and return kickoffs. -The video board and the band battling for attention all night

Green was terrible in spring, terrible in LR, and terrible last night. Meanwhile Wingo who led the team in rushing in LR did not get a single carry.

I'm sorry, but I have ZERO INTEREST in watching 4+ hour football games and games where there's nothing but passing. Zero Interest.

until the ejection of Franklin, our defense wasn't all that bad, but BP and the team need to show better composure

Arkansas is now 139-2 all-time when they score 40 or more points.

so, the odds are that if we can score 40+ pts per game we at least have a chance of winning? as opposed to losing?
my thoughts: I have to go teach today and listen to the gloating. sigh.

And that's where the composure comes into play, don't get in a and lose 30 yards, don't chop block and lose another 15 and we might've gotten another TD there. And I think the running game will be fine with Smith in there and Dennis will get better at it. Need more Wingo and that other kid, Davis, Davis is a big guy, let him run it near the goal line

Running isn't just about the running backs. To run you need an o-line that can run-block.

Didn't see anything unexpected Saturday night. We are who we are. Offense will have to outscore teams through the air. Was the defense good? No. Was the blocking great? No. But those were expected. The offense having to settle for two field goals in the redzone was the only thing that was disappointing.

To paraphrase Dennis Green " We are who we thought we were, and we let them off the hook."
We are what Louisville was. Great offense, no defense. It's exciting to watch. It should be mostly successful. In order to be completely successful, we'll have to get better athletes than the rest of the SEC as Louisville was able to do with the Big East.

I think we're an explosive pass rusher away from being good (not great, but good enough to win)
