10 - Time to stop the trend: Georgia hasn’t lost in Fayetteville, and Mark Richt is 4 and O coaching against us. And the Hogs haven’t won a big game on campus since, well’ for a while. 9 – Time to continue the trend: Lately, the Razorbacks best seasons have followed a losing one. In ‘95 we went from 4-7 to 8-5. In ‘98 4-7 turned into 9-3. And 2006 saw that same 4-7 flip to 10-4. 8 – Experience at QB. Very slight edge, but Ryan Mallet has started more games than the carrot topped senior runt on the other side. 7 – Talent at QB? There ain’t no comparison. Not really even much comparison if we had to start Tyler Wilson. Just sayin’. 6 – They ain’t played on this field. Oh, they’ve been here before, but the place has improved since then, and has even more this off-season. Now it’s Frank Broyles Field, and it’s got a brand spanking new surface. Our guys know it, and know how it reacts. They don’t. 5 – That goes double if it rains. There will be showers in the morning, and some of them may hang around or return after the 6:45 ESPN kickoff. Don’t think it will adversely affect the game, but it is something to be prepared for. Don’t – I repeat DON’T – bring an umbrella. Those guys at the gate will take ‘em away! 4 – We’ve got a better logo. On oval with a ‘G’ in it? That’s okay, so much so that Green Bay and Grambling like it, too. Maybe you heard the major announcement in August, or have seen a thing or 2 with the 100 year celebration of the Razorback logo on it. We’ve got the better mascot. Honestly, Georgia does a better job being the Bulldogs than everyone else does. But, still, everyone else does! There isn’t a high school conference in the country without a dog or two. But a ferocious, tusked charging boar? That conjures images of great Razorback teams past and to come. 3 – We know them, they don’t know us. Both coaches do a great job but Richt has had two games already. 2 – Focus, intensity. Again, ain't saying Richt can't coach, but Bobby Petrino has been able to point to this one as the coming out party. 1 – You and 70 thousand of your closest friends. Football fan excitement in Arkansas is at a fever pitch, and now is the time to turn that into home field advantage!
Go Hogs!!!
