I decided to go see what all of the hubbub was about at this new ballpark this evening.
Not sure what all of the complaining was about from opening night, left my place and was sitting in the parking lot in 20 minutes, no waiting and the $3 seemed quite reasonable to park at the front gate.
Lines at the concession stands? Not sure what all of the complaining was about! Walked right up and had a wonderful pulled pork sandwich and I've got to say that the $2.00 funnel cake beat the heck out of the same thing for $5.00 at Baum Stadium. Doesn't seem like the Naturals are worried about instituting the "dollar a swallow" price guaging practices some venues are using these days. Folks in charge of Baum Stadium might want to take note of this bit of information!
Lastly, I'd "strongly encourage" you to take in a game on Friday night at Arvest BallPark. Stay around for the fireworks show! If they replicate the show they put on tonight, every Friday night, it's well worth staying. It is "without a doubt" the best fireworks show I've seen in NW Arkansas.
Seems like the opening night jitters are out of the way. Over 6,000 in announced attendance tonight, no parking issues, no concession line issues, a grand slam in the 8th and a grand slam after the game with a first class fireworks show.
My hat is off to the Naturals and the new Arvest BallPark.

Took 3 kids to the game. 2 9 yr olds and a 5 year old. They all had a blast!! No line issues at all. The fire work show far exceeded anything I thought they would have. It was better than most 4th of July shows I have seen!!
