wholehogsports.com/story.php?paper=nwat&storyid=23189Rivals. com ranked the Hogs’ 2006 recruiting class as the third-most talented in the SEC, behind only LSU and Vanderbilt, and 14 th best in the nation. " They can rank us 50 th or not even have us on the radar, "Van Horn said." We’re still going to go out here and beat people. " "We let them know we’re not out to be average or make a regional every year; we’ re out to win a national championship," Van Horn said. "We tell the recruits if they decide to come to Arkansas, we’re going to work extremely hard to win a national championship and make sure that if you come to our program, you’re going to work that hard. " We might have scared a player or two off, but that’s OK. It’s better now than later. "

Young? the team may have lacked some depth, but the team last year wasn't young. two starters were freshmen - dugger, hamblin. Parker semi-regular. i've always found that statement to be ridiculous.
Hitting won't be a question mark. it will be strong this year due to so many returners in the field. the mound will be a huge question??? probably why the team is ranked so low in preseason polls. what pitchers return (other than boyce) with quality experience and success? brannon and swat will be very missed. i would have given a preseason ranking around 15
