or at least, in recent history?
-Our Ace is back. Charley is not only a rock, he's the IRONMAN. He's a legitimate star type player that we can all get behind.
-DVH said our pitching staff would be better than it was last year and seeing some of the hosses we have, I can't wait to see them in action.
-We have the best coach (and probably the best coaching staff) in the game. I have never had more faith in a coach than I have in DVH. I will never question a move he makes.
-We return a nice big chunk of players including our top offensive threats.
-This team has what last year's did not: big game experience. Specifically big OMAHA game experience.
I cannot wait for the season to start. I can't wait to watch last year's highlights on the scoreboard, I can't wait to see the 2004 up there for the regional, super regional and CWS, I can't wait to see our new SEC Championship trophy, I can't wait for this team to become that big time SEC team with the swagger of a winner that we all know they will be, instead of the small scrappy underdogs that we loved.

Of course this will be the most anticipated season in recent history. And while all you said about Charley, the coaching staff, and everything else is true; it all breaks down to your last point.
We won the SEC. We made it to Omaha!
Last years team brought in an entire new group of fans who may not have even known Razorback baseball existed before April 2004. They may not even realize how unexpected the journey was. They probably don't know who's gone and who's still around. All they know is we made it to the CWS so we should do it again. Pressure will be high and as you said no one will think of these guys as the loveable underdogs this year.
