Time to put a final cap on the '06 season. It was a bit of a run away last year: 2005

I voted for Tenn. Parker's monster shot and Gentry's walk off.

It was a bit of a run away last year: 2005Look for a runaway this year, too - although some voting may not have actually been there for the end!

I was torn between the Tenn. walk off and the incredible 9th inning. The guys I was sitting with and I have to admit myself also were just yelling for the Hogs to stop the bleeding and try again tomorrow but they had other plans and thank goodness they did. That is why I went with the Kentucky game.

As fun as the Kentucky games was, it wasn't so much us winning it as them losing it. I was torn between the Tennesse dingers and the no-hitter (regardless of what time of the year it was). Went with Tennessee in the end.

The Kentucky game/9th inning was great, and I also loved sweeping Alabama, but a walk-off homer was great against a team that went to Omaha last year. Can't wait til next year.

I don't see why the Schmidt performance against Georgia is on here. While commendable, he still took the loss.

As anyone who knows me will attest, I think defense is both underrated and all-important in any team sport. Given that, how can I not think that no-hitting a Little XII team was our best hour? (although it would seem that this places me in the minority...) (EDIT: SUPER minority)

Hard to believe only Drizzle sees the no-hitter as the winner here. Hard to imagine a better game. Here's what kills it for me. It was on the radio. And I think I missed part of the broadcast for some reason. Historically I see it as the biggest game, but personally it doesn't hold much emphasis.
Current leader -UK 6 run inning- is a great one. But there was so little to cheer about before that and the fact that it had much more to do with a UK collapse rather than our own timely hitting takes a little of the luster off.
I'm going with the UT game. Not just because of 7 homers in a game thanks to some gail force winds, but also the manner in which they came. UT talked a little trash. We thought we had tehm. They answer with a homer to deflate us then Parker bombs one and Gentry follows to win the game. That's my kind of game.

Kentucky game gets my vote, solely for the reason that it was the improbable come from behind win, that the dufus reporter showed us as losing in the paper (Dewey beats Truman), that very few of us stayed around (even Norm left) and the fact that it brought back memories of the S.Carolina sleet/snow come from behind miracle.
Heath - you missed part of the OSU no-hitter since you were at the basketball game...the two ran together, took my headset in to listen and was forwarding details down to Hognoxious who was ushering. Was great, but just doesn't get the same impact when you don't get to see it in person.

The Kentucky game was the best. I was there until the end. I had a feeling when everyone was leaving that we were going to do something. The suspense of the ninth was unbelievable.

And just ca't get good reception down there. I believe now it was Woopig that gave me the update that the Hogs had completed the no-hitter. So thanks to him too.

It was a tough decision between Tennessee and Kentucky. The Tennessee game was a pure offensive display. I think the Kentucky game was better though because the outcome was unexpected and intense.
