Doing some research of my own and just thought I'd throw out some quotes for use in your signatures or just for fun. www.quotegarden.com/baseball.htmlclackhi.nclack.k12.or.us/baseball/baseball_quotes.htmlwww.10ktruth.com/the_quotes/baseball.htmWhat is both surprising and delightful is that spectators are allowed, and even expected, to join in the vocal part of the game.... There is no reason why the field should not try to put the batsman off his stroke at the critical moment by neatly timed disparagements of his wife's fidelity and his mother's respectability. ~George Bernard Shaw Baseball is the only place in life where a sacrifice is really appreciated. ~Author Unknown Why does everybody stand up and sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" when they're already there? ~Larry Anderson I believe in the Church of Baseball. I tried all the major religions and most of the minor ones. I've worshipped Buddha, Allah, Brahma, Vishnu, Siva, trees, mushrooms and Isadora Duncan. I know things. For instance, there are 108 beads in a Catholic rosary and there are 108 stitches in a baseball. When I learned that, I gave Jesus a chance. ~Ron Shelton, Bull Durham, 1988 Baseball is dull only to dull minds. -- Red Barber

those are awesome. Love the one about sacrafice.
The one constant through all the years,Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again --Terence Mann in Field of Dreams

A few of my favorite quotes-
Fresh cut grass, dragged dirt, ring of a bat, a diving catch, a blocked ball, sweating, bleeding and sliding into home. Not a bad way to spend a few hours.
I walked out on the field, the lines already drawn and the stands empty. I look around and it is just me and the field. You smell the grass and you hear the fans. Your all bruised and bloody and you realize this is baseball. This is what it is all about.
Jimmy: Baseball is what gets inside you. It's what lights you up, you can't deny that. Dottie: It just got too hard. Jimmy: It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

A few of my favorite Leo Durocher quotes: "I never questioned the integrity of an umpire. Their eyesight, yes." "You argue with the umpire because there is nothing else you can do about it." "I made a game effort to argue but two things were against me: the umpires and the rules." "Buy a steak for a player on another club after the game, but don't even speak to him on the field. Get out there and beat them to death." Including my new sig.
