The Bulls selected Daniel Gafford at 38 in the draft.
The Bulls don't sell this pick and actually draft a power forward at 38, unlike when they sold the Jordan Bell pick at 38 two years ago. Gafford checks most boxes as a defense-first PF/C at 6’11" with a 7’2" wingspan and a 37-inch vertical, averaging 16.9 points, 8.7 boards, 0.9 steals and 2.0 treys in his sophomore season. Gafford still is a major project on offense and didn’t take any treys, but he cut down his fouls to help him earn All-SEC honors.

Three of the last four Hogs that have been drafted (Gafford, Portis, & Weems) were taken by the Chicago Bulls.

Daniel Gafford has been traded to the Wizards, Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Chandler Hutchison will also join the Wizards with Troy Brown Jr. and Moe Wagner headed to Chicago. Gafford is an excellent shot blocker and could immediately become relevant in fantasy on his new team with only Robin Lopez and Alex Len to compete with, so a speculation add isn't the worst idea if you need a big. For his career, Gafford has a really intriguing per-36 line of 13.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.6 dimes, 1.0 steals and 3.2 blocks.
