Lions LCB Chris Houston suffered a "leg" injury in Sunday's win.
"He’s got a leg injury," a vague Jim Schwartz said Monday. "I think I’ll just keep it that way and we’ll just see where he can get to this week and we’ll try to get him back as quick as we can. But if he can’t, then we’ll have the next guy up." Schwartz's evasiveness is a definite sign Houston is in danger of missing Week 5. His absence would thrust struggling rookie Darius Slay back into the lineup opposite Rashean Mathis.

The Detroit Free Press considers Lions LCB Chris Houston's (hamstring) Week 5 status "up in the air."
The Lions are "optimistic" Houston will play at Green Bay, although if he does he'll almost certainly be less than 100 percent. Houston returned to a "limited" practice Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday's workouts. Jordy Nelson is likely to square off with Houston for most of Sunday's snaps.

The Lions benched LCB Chris Houston in Sunday's Week 7 loss to Cincinnati.
Houston got torched by A.J. Green, and the Lions' coaching staff became concerned with his confidence level. On Monday, coach Jim Schwartz wouldn't commit to reinserting Houston into the starting lineup. The Lions take on next a Dallas team boasting one of the NFL's top young receiver corps.

LCB Chris Houston was back in the starting lineup Week 8 and coach Jim Schwartz said he played "an outstanding game."
Houston was benched at halftime during Week 7 for ineffectiveness. But he did well against Terrance Williams Sunday, as the rookie's 60-yard touchdown catch came against Darius Slay and Glover Quin. "At some point you have to show faith in your players," Schwartz said. "Chris bounced back with a big-time performance."

Lions CB Chris Houston (foot) is not practicing Tuesday.
Houston underwent an MRI on Monday, and was in a boot on Tuesday. He's in serious danger of missing the Thanksgiving game after injuring his foot against the Bucs in Week 12. It thins out a Lions secondary that is already struggling to put up any kind of resistance against opposing passing games. Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Jarrett Boykin are all viable fantasy options to varying degrees even with Matt Flynn expected to start.

Lions CB Chris Houston (foot) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Houston sat out the Thanksgiving win over the Packers after hurting his foot against the Bucs in Week 12. He's going to test out the injury at practice this week before a determination is made. If Darius Slay has to start again, it's a boost for Nick Foles and the Eagles' red-hot passing game.

Lions GM Martin Mayhew said he remains confident in LCB Chris Houston.
Mayhew has no other choice after handing Houston a five-year, $25 million deal last March. Houston followed it up with his worst season. He battled leg, hamstring, foot and toe injuries throughout the season and was benched at one point. Houston recorded just nine pass breakups and two interceptions, while grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 96 corner out of 110 qualifiers. Cornerback is right next to wide receiver at the top of Mayhew's needs list.

Lions LCB Chris Houston is missing voluntary workouts with a toe injury.
It's notable because Houston was sidelined by his toe last December. Houston ended up appearing in only 12 games last season as he battled toe, leg, hamstring and foot issues. Going on 30, Houston remains locked in as a starter, but is coming off the worst year of his career. He needs a healthy training camp.
