Finished T3 at -4. Bad news is that according to the broadcast, the $140-150K in winnings do not count toward LPGA money list to earn her tour card.

Shot a 78 today.
She just never seemed comfortable. Never could get it going.

"Nice money"?? I don't know what you graphic designers make, but for the rest of us $162,000 in a weekend would be better than nice. She seemed to get frustrated early on yesterday and could never break out of it. Maybe if she would have hit just one of those birdie or par-saving putts it would have put her in the right mindset to keep it going and make another. I don't ever watch the LPGA, but I'm sure I'll watch more now because it's nice to have someone to root for. Did everyone hear Johnny Miller's comments about how Stacy has the ability to be the next Annika? Pretty big statement.

It is estimated that she will need to make about $90,000 at the end of the season and avoid Q-school. Would have been nice to have that knocked out already. Saturday post-round interviewSTACY LEWIS: We found out some interesting rules this year. I need to get Top80 on the money list. You can play in six events as a non-member of the Tour. But like the Open doesn't count in your six, but the Open -- the money you make also doesn't count as getting your card. Like the British Open doesn't count.
So I'm working on getting sponsor exemptions to play and to earn enough money to be in the Top-80. I guess the LPGA does not count USGA or R&A events for qualifying purposes.

Yup, you nailed it... The coin is nice, I'm sure, but since it's officially a USGA event, it doesn't count toward her earnings... She has six exemptions (she qualified her way into the US Women's Open) to earn about $95,000... I suspect she can do it... Considering the US Women's Open is the biggest purse of the year for the women, not counting the ADT Championship at the end of the year, it's stupid that the money doesn't count toward season earnings... Sheez... Way to go, Stacy!!! - Bert (just back from a two week vacation)

Under the men's rules, she would already be exempt for the remainder of this year. The PGA Tour recognizes earnings from the 4 majors (none are hosted by the Tour) and the World Golf Championship events. There is an in season provision for anyone who reaches the same dollar amount as the 150th place finisher on last year's money list. If the LPGA applied the same standards with their qualifying marks (90th), she would be fully exempt for the remainder of this season and could would already have enough money to be exempt for next year. She seems to be the type who will quickly gather sponsorships... Can't wait to see who steps up...
Go Stacy!

Oh, and I think the Top 80 is a change for next year, which won't be reflected on the LPGA PDF link mentioned above... I've got a question in to the LPGA to confirm which it is...
