reading a discussion among some Shocker fans about recruiting/budgets/football/etc reminded me of something Dale and I were talking about at the regional last year.
When we took the field against Albany, we had 9 different states represented, with only Texas on there twice!
catcher: Brian Walker, Oklahoma first base: Danny Hamblin, Texas second base: Ben Tschepikow, Arkansas short stop: Tim Smalling, North Carolina third base: Logan Forsythe, Tennessee left field: Casey Coon, Nevada center field: Jake Dugger, Nebraska right field: Wayne Hrozek, Texas designated hitter: Jacob Julius, Indiana pitcher: Duke Welker, Washington
crazy huh

While I would always love to have more Arkansas players on the team, I do love the fact that we go anywhere and everywhere to get our players.

To be far, i would prefer our players that hit .300 to Ole Miss's and Kentucky's players that high .350+ against a weak schedule

I think we would all prefer hits to K's. As a statistician will note, that is the difference between boosting batting average and lowering it.

Orange gatorade? Cheese puffs (especially grilled ones)? I think we would all prefer hits to K's. As a statistician will note, that is the difference between boosting batting average and lowering it. So the only good things that come in orange are food items, I can live with that, they are being destroyed so thats fine (incidentally this is one of the reasons I don't eat pork, it's akin to cannibalism)
