You're right. I should have known you would be. I don't remember him being up...what a Cub fan I am.

What about Joe Blanton from Kentucky? He's up with Oakland now.

Yep, Joe Blanton definitely pitched at Baum.. I remember that game vividly. A scout sat next to me and would call between innings giving updates on Blanton's performance. I think he had a one-hitter into the seventh inning that night. Probably the most dominant pitching performance I have seen at Baum.

Ainsworth, Fogg, and Wilkerson all played in Baum.
Wilkerson was Florida's best pitcher and hitter. Fogg was their closer.

They played in Baum in 1998. Auburn- Josh Hancock, P, 97 MSU- Eric Dubose, 96-97; Adam Piatt, 95-97 Ole Miss- Matt Duff, 96-97; Bobby Kielty 98 Vandy- Matt Kata, 97-98 Kentucky- Andy Green (?); Brandon Webb 98-00 Georgia- Jeff Keppinger Florida- David Eckstein, 94-97; Dave Ross, 98 Tennessee- Luke Hudson, 96-98 Non-conference players by year: 1997- Ben Sheets(NE La.), Nate Teut (Iowa St.), Shawn Sedlacek (Iowa St.) 1998- Jason Jennings (Baylor), Kip Wells (Baylor) 1999- JJ Trujillo (Dallas Baptist), Freddy Sanchez(Dallas Baptist) Most of these were pulled from Baseball Reference on the listing by school. www.baseball-reference.com/schools/

I can confirm Jason Jennings pitched for Baylor here...in fact we beeped him when he backed off the mound and Hognoxious got yelled at by his mother for something he didn't say.
