Joe Johnson will participate in the inaugural All-Star H-O-R-S-E competition, along with Kevin Durant and O.J. Mayo.
We're not too high on Johnson's chances to win the event, in part because he's been mired in a shooting slump, and in part because he may be thrown off by the unfamiliar sight of an uncontested shot, something that's a rarity in Mike Woodson's offense.

Joe Johnson hit just 7-of-22 shots but finished with 21 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, a steal and two threes in Friday's loss at Portland.
He filled the stat sheet, but still doesn't look like his old self right now. The Hawks appear to be begging for leadership, but Joe hasn't grabbed ahold of it in the second half for whatever reason.

Joe Johnson scored 31 points, handed out nine assists and hit three 3-pointers on 10-of-20 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Jazz.
Johnson has been very hot in his last two games and it appears that his slump is over. And when Johnson plays well, the Hawks (who beat the Hornets and Jazz already this week) do too.

Joe Johnson had 35 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals on 15-of-27 shooting as the Hawks easily beat the Blazers on Sunday to improve to 25-7 at home.
Brandon Roy battled with Johnson today, finishing with 29 points, four boards, five assists and a three, but Johnson and the Hawks dominated the second half. Johnson has now hit 30 points in four straight games as the Hawks continue to hang onto the No. 4 seed in the East. This was just the 10th game this season that Johnson hasn't hit a 3-pointer
