Starting tomorrow Dale is going to put up a series of polls so that we can pick the All DVH Era team, now that the DVH era has spanned five years (a nice round number). There will be a poll per position, one or two a week. Each poll will be up about seven days. Feel free to lobby for votes and debate in the poll threads. Some players may appear in more than one poll. There will be one player per position, and then an outfield and infield utility spot, where we will bring back players that weren't voted in in the first round. For the pitchers, we will start at "ace" and then re-enter the remaining pitchers in for the 2nd and then 3rd starting pitching spots. There will also be three relief pitchers (and use re-entry here) plus two generic pitcher spots. Any questions? 1B - Danny Hamblin (88.2%) 2B - Scott Bridges (75.6%) SS - Scott Hode (80.0%) 3B - Logan Forsythe (63.8%) LF - Jake Dugger (54.2%) CF - Craig Gentry (41.0%) RF - Ryan Fox (48.4%) C - Brady Toops (71.7%) DH - Casey Coon (40.0%) UT I - Clay Goodwin (41.6%) UT O - Casey Rowlett (66.6%) SP - Nick Schmidt (63.4%) SP - Jess Todd (58.3%) SP - Charley Boyce (55.2%) RP 1 - Trey Holloway (54.8%) RP 2 - Daryl Maday (40.6%) P 1 - Clint Brannon (51.7%) P 2 - Boyd Goodner (41.9%) CL - Jay Sawatski (84.8%)

Can Charley Boyce and Jay Sawatski each occupy a starter and reliever role or will that make Gene's head explode? ;D

I vote for Dave Van Horn as the coach! ;D Interesting, but in reality we could vote for 1st base coaches Bubbs, Pags, or Deggs. Of course Butler still has the best record.

In my mind, I typed "I vote for Dave Van Horn as the head coach!" just to avoid such as this, #10,581. My fingers - or lack thereof - apparently did not do the job.

It just gave me the idea that we should add a category. Obviously DVH gets the head coach slot, and I'll concede the 3B coaches box. Jorn obviously gets the pitching coach job. But 1 thing we could vote on is 1B coach.

But 1 thing we could vote on is 1B coach. Yeah we were already planning to add that on at the end. How much was Pags in there? I thought only a few times, filling in for Deggs. I was going to make it just between Deggs and Bubbs. It could get complicated though since it would be based only on first base duties such as staring a hole through the umpires soul, ability to punch people in the throat, etc.
