I feel pretty good about the draft. Julius should come back and Willard hopefully will. Eibner will sign. I'm optimistic about the guys drafted in rounds 22 and higher. (I was optimistic about R J Siedel (16th round) last year.) Like Dale said, if these guys sign, they weren't coming anyway.

I am confused. I thought that a sophmore could not be drafted. Isn't Willard a sophmore?

Redshirt sophomores are draft eligible. Brian Walker was draft eligible last year.

Thanks for all the coverage and info, Dale.
We lost a lot of potential last year, Weeden and Seidel particularly hurt because it looked like they'd still come here.
The guys we lost last year have mostly struggled or have yet to play in the minors, except for Christopher Davis who is doing pretty good in high-A ball for the Rangers. He had the advantage of playing JC ball.

Thanks, Dale. You really do a great job of updating during the draft, and keeping all the recruits straight for us. ;D

Will Julius go? I think it would be a better decison for him to stay another year. What about Willard? I think he should stay too.

For Julius it will probably depend on whether he thinks he'll get to play enough next year. Willard I would think would be back.

Obviously it would be better for both of them to come back and try to get drafted higher if they think they can do better. Willard has the advantage of having two more years, and the leverage that goes with that.
