Game over!
Did I hear Chuck right, that Schmidt (even though he lost the no hitter) still set the SEC tourney record for fewest runs off a starting pitcher (2)?

I hate when Chuck says "they'll let the runner go to 2nd cause that runs doesn't mean anything". It does if they get a hit and the run scores because it counts against the pitcher's ERA and that does mean something when everyone always talks about the pitcher or team's ERA. This of course is coming from a pitcher's mom.

Schmidt threw the 1st 2 hitter in SEC Tournament history. It took him 103 pitches which is awesome. Now if Todd can match him we can have a day off.

Schmidt threw the 1st 2 hitter in SEC Tournament history. It took him 103 pitches which is awesome. Now if Todd can match him we can have a day off. If I heard Chuck right, it was the first 2- hitter off a starting pitcher in the tourney, not the first 2-hitter ever. Still, a great outing by Schmidtty.OK, I stand corrected. First 2-hitter ever. Way to go Schmidt!!

Notes from SECsports.com:
Arkansas • Arkansas 1B Danny Hamblin tied the Razorbacks career record for home runs. The senior hit his 56th career blast in the third inning to give Arkansas a 4-0 advantage. • Razorbacks pitcher Nick Schimdt recorded his first win against Alabama. The senior earned his first loss against the Crimson Tide earlier this season, giving up 5 runs off 7 hits in 3.2 innings of play. • Arkansas pitcher Nick Schimdt pitched his sixth complete game of his career. His two hit-performance marked the first time a pitcher in the SEC Tournament has ever given up two hits or fewer in the SEC Tournament while pitching a minimum nine innings. • The Razorbacks shut-out an opponent in the SEC Tournament for the first time in school history. • Arkansas' win marks the first time the Razorbacks have won on opening day since 1999.
Alabama • Today's shut-out marked the first time the Crimson Tide have ever been held without a run in the SEC Tournament. • The two hits by Alabama were the fewest by a team since the Florida Gators were held to two hits against Ole Miss in 2005.
