His strike zone will probably be the size of a cup on Sunday. As long as it's the same for both teams I wouldn't mind. We're going to need to put some runs on the board tomorrow.

He looks like he's about to "Hulk" out.

there were some bare spots in the grass around the 1st base coaching box and we decided it was from Bubbs stomping around after the call. It was a pretty funny conversation, wish you guys could've been there.

Deggs would have been thrown out as soon as he saw that guy at 1B.

Someone, I believe Hilbilly (AKA PH2?), pointed that difference out at the game. After a close out for us he said, "Bubbs, that's the difference in you and Matt Deggs. He would have punched the guy in the throat by now."

Of course, we must remember Bubbs is a volunteer coach, and probably doesn't get a lot of respect from the umps.
At the end of the altercation, DVH was coming over, then turned away. I figured he would want to get his shots in, too.

As he said after the Centenary game. THe conference games are too important. He'll not try to get run on those. The probability of that happening there was too high.

A couple of points to be made:
The 3rd base ump did not come over to intervene...he was headed off the field as the picture above shows and came back on the field! It's unprofessional. He should have left the field and it's over.
Second, the Vandy catcher argued balls and strikes when he took the 3rd strike with the bat on his shoulder. What occurred? The home plate ump talked to their head coach and then the Vandy catcher kissed the home plate umps rear for 3 innings with it finally ending in the start of the bottom of the 9th with a hand shake and the ceremonial kissing of the rear once again....all things considered if done equally, he should have been gone...what followed? A strike zone wider than that guy in the green shirts rear, us not getting any calls and Bubbs getting tossed!
That's all I have to say about this....but I will say it is my best "intintions" to be there early today when the umpires take the field to share my thoughts a bit more.
