Dale and I have been talking lately about how not hosting may be affecting attendance. It makes sense, since postseason baseball is what built this fan base in the first place. We haven't hosted since 2010. Even more shocking when you think about it is that we haven't won a home regional since 2004.

It's definitely a big factor in my opinion. When I look at that plus the environmental considerations on the way to Baum, especially the abundant I-49 construction zones and impossible traffic, plus TV, it's no wonder people decide to stay home. I am guilty of this thought process mainly because taking my 2 year old is a lot of work and driving that interstate is like risking your life these days.
Back to the point though, if we had recent magic at Baum then I think that would boost things greatly.

Attendance this year has just been down over all compared to last season. A lot of Friday night games have only have 4,500 or a few more than that. And maybe our lack of winning during the regular season like we normally do is effecting the attendance.

Do we have an actual attendance so far to date? - I would be shocked if we have made 50k due to weather, games on TV & overall performance on the field
