I'm with Chuck, this team probably is better, but they just played like absolute s*** after Heatley got in the game. That really is my point of disagreement with DVH. Heatley hasn't been put in a pressure situation his entire time here and you throw him into that firestorm and are surprised when he chickens out on the mound.
Today's performance was disgraceful, bumbling and fumbling the whole game.
The boys need to get their s*** together and be ready when Bama comes to town, there's no reason for us to play like that ever again.

I also think (if you can) you should schedule 2 tuff non-conference weekends at places that draw crowds before conference starts. Its the only way to prepare the young guys

1. The inexperienced players folded under the pressure. 2. We're still looking for that 4th outfielder when Eibner pitches. 3. There were more than a few questionable coaching moves this weekend. 4. Were Heatley and Davenport "exposed" or did they just have bad outings? 5. What is up with our Sunday efforts?
My gut instinct still tells me that this is one of the better teams we've had here since DVH came, but today was just inexplicable. We seem to be able to put a solid starting line-up on the field, but the depth just hasn't developed yet. Carver is head and shoulders above Reynolds with the bat, but even little leaguers have to catch pop flys. In the outfield, McKinney looks like he's gone backwards and Vinson just needs more time. Kyle Robinson didn't get it done either, so we're still searching for a 4th man.
Andy Wilkins was 0-5 today. We won't win many games all season when that happens.
The starting pitching was great. Bolsinger, Smyly, and Eibner all pitched well enough to win, but the bullpen was just awful yesterday and not much better today. Baxendale got roughed up for the first time all year. Let's hope that's just a fluke. Where was Forrest? Is he hurt?
