Phillies exercised LHP Cliff Lee's $9 million option for 2010.

Perhaps the biggest no-brainer of the offseason. Lee was 7-4 with a 3.39 ERA in 12 starts after joining the Phillies in July, and was nearly untouchable during the postseason, posting a 1.56 ERA in five starts while going a perfect 4-0. Expect the Phillies to begin talks on an extension this winter.
